Priority: PRIORITY I - Creating conditions for the development of innovation potential and entrepreneurship in Mazovia
Measure: 1.7 Economic promotion
Project value: 1,222,912.31 PLN
Amount of EU funding: 979,576.64 PLN

The aim of the Project was to present the Mazowieckie Voivodeship (Mazovia) as a region:

  • characterized by high investment attractiveness, encouraging foreign investors to locate their investments just in Mazovia;
  • to promote Mazovia as a region friendly to entrepreneurs;
  • creation of a modern economic image of Mazovia;
  • competitive for other regions.

All activities in the project were aimed at increasing interest in Mazovia's economic offer and creating a strong brand of Mazovia. Their implementation positively contributed to increasing the inflow of foreign direct investment to the region, as well as to accelerating the pace of socio-economic development in the region.

As part of the implementation of the "Business-friendly Mazovia" project, the following types of projects were implemented:

  • participation in trade and exhibition events and economic missions;
  • economic promotion of the Mazovian Voivodeship through publication of advertising materials;
  • building databases and services;
  • preparation of own publications.

The "Business-friendly Mazovia" project represented a "new quality" in the approach to promotional activities. Promotion was directed to a diverse audience (domestic foreign entrepreneurs, large and small businesses, residents of the region), using diverse media (promotion in the press, advertising films, own publications, promotion on web portals).

The effects of the project have shown in which directions the promotional activities are to be conducted in order to show the region as an economically and investment-attractive place, also on the international arena. The integration of promotional activities not only allowed to start building a strong economic brand for Mazovia, but also involved other entities in the promotional activities (local government units, local government institutions, entrepreneurs), and thanks to the synergy effect brought added value of the project.

The project was co-financed by the European Union with funds from the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Programme of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship 2007-2013.
